CQ's, 30 years, and OLMC

James has Carrier Qualified for his E-2.  Dad spoke with him this evening. James flew the E-2 Hawkeye last weekend and successfully completed the required daytime and nighttime  "Touch and Go's"  and "Traps" on the USS Theodore Roosevelt.

This (below) is a video of another navy pilot landing an E-2 on the USS Teddy Roosevelt, the very thing that James has done.

Also, today is the 30th anniversary of mom and dad closing on the "new" house and of our family moving in.
Corner cabinets, a wood banister and 30 years of Our Lady's protection.
And, of course, today is the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.  She's been protecting our family for a long time.  And if you aren't enrolled in the her brown scapular, don't worry, there's still time
An image of Our Lady giving St. Simon Stock the Brown Scapular.  (This painting in the sanctuary of the temple of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Queretaro, Mexico, where I spent my first two summers as a seminarian)
St. Teresa of Avila also wore the Brown Scapular

I'm A month late but it still warms my heart. Please, please, please Blessed Mother continue your protection as we learn how to be more appreciative children.
